Over 200 Screened for Breast Cancer at Efia–Kuma Market

In a strong show of community support and health awareness, over 200 women participated in a free breast cancer screening exercise at the Efia–Kuma Market in Takoradi. The event was hosted by Spice 91.9 FM in collaboration with the Bethel Methodist Medical Center, with logistical support from Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana.

The initiative formed part of efforts to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which emphasizes early detection and education as key to saving lives. The medical team from Bethel Methodist Medical Center carried out comprehensive examinations and provided valuable health education to participants, stressing the importance of regular screening, healthy lifestyle habits, and early medical consultation.

As a brand committed to community wellbeing and social responsibility, Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana provided transportation and logistical support throughout the exercise. The company’s Takoradi branch ensured that the event ran smoothly, assisting with mobility and on-ground coordination for the health professionals and organizers.

“We believe corporate organizations must contribute to the well-being of the communities they serve,” said Mr. George Duah, Business Development Manager of Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana. “Supporting this health outreach aligns perfectly with our values of service, safety, and care for people.”

The event was a success, leaving a lasting impact on the Efia–Kuma Market community and serving as a reminder that awareness and preventive care remain vital tools in the fight against breast cancer.

Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana continues to champion initiatives that promote community development and health awareness, demonstrating that beyond car rental services, the company drives change and care across Ghana.
